Working from home is pretty awesome. I love it. But working from home when you have kids? Well, that’s an entirely different story altogether.
Let’s face it, we all love our kids. We would, quite frankly, die for them. There are times however when we question whether our little cherubs are even from the same gene pool as us, particularly when it comes to respecting the boundaries between home and business.
Kids have different priorities to their parents. Kids don’t need to worry about deadlines, mortgage repayments or proposals. Their priorities revolve around school, play and food – and not necessarily in that order.
If you’ve been successful in working from home with kids around, whilst continuing to build your business, then take a bow.
You are awesome.
For the rest of us mere mortals though, there comes a point where we realise that our business, our family and our sanity are taking the proverbial long walk off a short pier.
Before you consider divorcing your children though, I’ve prepared a list of pointers that tell you it’s probably time to consider that local serviced office.
